Conventional dentures are held by surface tension between the denture and the soft tissue. Stability is increased with proper arch form, rich shape and an accurate impression. Musculature of the floor of the mouth and the surrounding oral facial musculature can be a factor as well. This causes us to utilize implants. You can have a fixed or a removable implant-supported denture. Both are primarily stabilized by implants. Since the implant-supported dentures are not putting stress on both the heart and the soft tissue of your mouth, it is less irritable and more secure for functioning, eating, chewing and speaking.
